In kartik month after Dipawali and till guru purnima or Kartik purnima gawala , yadav or milk men celebrate festival when they worship, guo (cow) mata and tie jute made garland and dance in folk music. This festival was mainly concentrated in village areas and MP, Chatisgard ,Bihar, Jharkhand and UP.

This festival also perform in Kharagpur town by Gawala . from my childhood I watch this festival but with time people drop profession of Gawala so attraction was continue diminishes but still the old performers organised this in Bhagwanpur,gatarpara and kumarpara areas in Kharagpur.In my home my son also perform with dancers and they tie jute colour garland to our cows and dance perform in our home. I share some pictures and there videos. I am sorry as video taken at night at dim light so video was not clear. The main theme of my blog is to show the rich cultural heritage of our town, I know these festivals was missing by our next generation so this blog help them to know their rich heritage.
