Mata puja in Kharagpur 2015

Solahpuri mata puja
Mata puja carnival festival from Kharagpur town. This festival was organized in every locality of town .There was no fix date of their starting, but it was believe that this start before independence when the south Indian community came to get employment in Railway before independence.

Mata puja also known as gram devi puja .In Kharagpur every locality celebrate this festive with great enthuse. At starting this was concentrate only in south Indian locality but now this was organized in every area. The reason behind this was south Indian people now lived in every part of town.

Now the previous glory of mata puja lost due to some restriction from local police .From last two years organizer not able to arrange any dance program in this festival because police are not ready to give protection. Local police administration allowed dance program on their own risk. Malancha area is only place where dance program arranged by local organizer during mata puja.

Difference between city of joy and town of mix culture - 2

In the year 2006 I was came to this city, and residing in kestopur which was in prime location and well connected with airport, bidhan nagar (Ultadanga) and saltlake IT capital of westbengal.

As I was earn my livelihood from this city so definitely it’s important for me but I was lost many things. I lost my way of living of my town. There was no traffic congestion, concrete jungle as like Kolkata. In Kolkata I got shopping malls, AC buses, AC car, multiplex which really gives a comfortable life but I miss the open sky some time I was not see sun rise and sun set for five six days. When I was in kharagpur every week some puja festive or due to some occasion loudspeaker play melody songs of 90’s, on that time I feel disturb by all that but now when I was living in apartment where I don’t know who lived opposite of my flat, and there was no music or song except when I on my television.

Here I got crowed and people gathering in every area and different transport mode but they are strange to me. On the other hand in my town Kharagpur I got low people gathering but they know me and familiar to me.

Kestopur was one of the prime location and due to state Govt. different projects new flyover and underground constructed in this area which was really help to reduce the traffic pressure over here.

I was also worked in a IT company where I spent nine hours in a day and in touch with rest of the world through internet .In evening when I was returning to home by bypass watching new under constructed building ,malls etc and then went to salt lake where I was start my career.

Some time I became bored due to hectic and same work schedule. I was only enjoying when I went to my home on weekend. I was mostly catch local train during early morning because on that time ,

I saw some beautiful seen, green, yellow paddy field, Kolaghat Bridge and many more. There were many things I was sharing pictures of my journey and expect you also like these. In our kharagpur town there were limited beautiful monuments but each one has amazing looks in different times and different seasons.
