Ramnavami has great religious value among Hindu. In this day God Rama , Vishnu avtar took birth in earth. In kharagpur in this day, every temple specially all rammandir and Hanuman Mandir decorated with lights and flowers. Different akhara from our town organised sova yatra in different parts to Rammandir of golebazaar.

In this day jawara visarjan was also one of the big attraction in town. Jawara yatra organised in different parts of town. Bhagwanpur, Kharida, Inda and Ayma. Bhagwanpur shitla mandir jawara was one of the oldest jawara yatra in town, because I saw this yatra from my childhood, that means almost 29 years.

Jawara or shitla puja one of the main celebration in our town kharagpur. North Indian community of town perform nine days rituals , ladies mainly did fast on these nine days. Main celebration was organised on asthmi and navami. People arrange kanya bhojan and worship small girls on this specific day. In different shitla mandir as well asat home people also worship godess durga with Jawara and enlighten akhand dipak for nine days.
All these nine days bhajan and kirtan perform in shitla temple.
Bhagwanpur Jawara visarjan was took place at Jhintalab. Due to hot summer Jhintalab almost dry ,people arrange artificial pond for visarjan. There was huge gathering in shova yatra instead of hot weather.
