Kharagpur:Durgapuja 2014 part:1

 As my blog viewers searching many times for my last year post Durga Puja in Kharagpur 2013,Durgapuja in Kolkata 2013,Durgapuja in south kolkata 2013.So this year I am trying to cover most places in Kharagpur and Kolkata and some near about places.

Puja celebration in all area of Kharagpur are more or less same only some pandal and lighting decoration different in different locality.

If you belongs from Kharagpur than definitely know that some places in kharagpur have big attraction in every puja like:Mathrakati MS type railway colony which also known as Ram babu Pandal,Avijatri club Jhapatapur, Subhaspally, Malancha etc.

From last some years due to rain crowed are less in most puja pandals but this year due to good weather huge crowd comes in different puja pandals in town.

Most of the pandal decorate with a meaningful theme, I am going to present puja in kharagpur and near about area in different section. In this part you can watch the picture and video of Malancha and mathrakati or railway colony area.

After a long time I was in Kharagpur during saptami .In my school days I was going to watch different pandals in early morning and after a long time today I was again went to watch different pandals of  town .It was 4.30 A.M. when there was no  crowed only the morning walkers  were available in road and pandal side. Nothing was changed in last ten years.

 This is Malancha puja pandal nera LIC office.Pandal made from small clay pot used to drink tea.

Durga puja Pandal in Mathrakati or  near MS type also known as Rambabu Pandal.This pandal is replica of a Budhist Pagoda(temple).Surrounding i or border made from jute which show Swami Vivekanand life.

Viswakarma Puja from Kharagpur 2014

Viswakarma is god of machine, architecture, so this puja celebrated in every parts of our country. Kharagpur is a railway town so here Vishwakarma puja is celebrates with great enthuse. Main celebratation done in different railway department of Kharagpur, like: Railway workshop, Railway General store of kharagpur, R yard of Kharagpur, DRM office etc.

Other main attractions are Tata Bearing, Tata Metalik, Rashmi Industry, Biscuit factory of Kharagpur Malancha, Flender Factory of Kharagpur, Bengal Energy of Kharagpur.

 Decoration in Viswakarma Puja

Railway workshop, diesel shop is open for general public and staff family members. Hindu community who are iron smith and carpenter community are also celebrate this function on their home ,other people also clean there bike, car, cycle, Computer, machine ,tools and worship like god.

                                          

Different carpenters shop, gold, silver traders and different metal business related businessman also celebrate this puja.

 

As per tradition people fly kites in this day also decorate Viswakarma idol with kite.

Factories and production house totally stop their daily work for 24 hrs .Different cultural and musical program arrange in South Easter railway departments and other factories of town. Railway and other factories visarjan done on second or third day.

Only some problem arises with transportation as because bus, autos are few in road which create problem for students and daily passengers.

Decoration started from 16 September night , people cleans their shop, factory and decorate pandals . On 16 september when I was returning from Kolkata I was watching flowers sellers with huge lots of marrygold flowers in each stoppage after panskura, they were going to Macheda flowers market  to sell their flowers. Markets were filled with viswakarma idols, fruits and different decorative items.
