A small trip to Jhargram mini zoo

In West Medinipur there are one of the oldest mini zoo was constructed by state govt. and local body of Jhargram . Jhargram was also known for teak wood jungle .Once this small town covered with dense forest , but due to huge wood cutting now forest area shrinkage .Mini zoo was develop to increase tourist attraction in this town. Here you can find a lots of animals like:bear,deer,elephant,tortoise,ostrich,peacock,peahen,swan,flamingo,different varieties of monkey and snakes, crocodile, jackal, forest dog, bison etc.

Mini zoo had also natural seens and small park for children. This place is interesting place for weekend and evening for your children. I was went to Jhargram after a long time, I was catch local train at 8.30 A.M. and reach jhargram 9.30 A.M. on may month.

As there was hot day so we decide to watch deer park mini zoo on evening . I was crossing deer park in morning 10.30 A.M. to reach my maternal uncle home. The teak wood tree was surrounded both side of road ,very low traffic .

In evening we move to deer park at entrance we watch Australian Ostrich with deers .Deer park has 50+ deer and there was biggest open space for them and also have small pond for them, so they enjoy there natural home.

Second place was for different varieties of Indian tortoises. Then there was different varieties of birds some were rare variety some were lost species. Deer park had different varieties of snakes .My most interesting one was peacock and bear. Bears had moving in open space and surrounding by big drain .
There was small children park, there was also some concrete sitting arrangements where people can sit for some time.

On my returning time I was also went to my maternal uncle mango garden. There were 200+ mango trees. There were different verities of mango like: Alfonso, Hafus, Langra, Fajli, Kamali, maldah varieties etc.

Mango garden
Mangoes trees were very small some mangoes touch ground. I was very pleased to be there and this was also a great place for picnic. As we were reach there in late evening so we were not able to take many pictures of the garden and next day I was moved for kharagpur.This was small trip but I enjoyed a lot in this small trip to Jhargram.
