15 August, Indian Independence Day celebrate with great enthusiasm in kharagpur town as like other town and cities. The main difference from other parts of India was local way of celebration .In rest of country Govt. Institution, college, school or big NGOs organized any cultural program and flag hosting ceremony but in Kharagpur every college, school, Govt. private and every locality and club celebrate this occasion.I was stay in Kolkata where I saw only two or three place flag hosting done but in kharagpur you can get this celebration in every 10-15 meters distance. If we start from kharida to malancha road .you can watch minimum 15 -20 places where flag hosting and cultural program arranged apart from school and govt. institute.
