This time Ganesh chaturthy was celebrate on 17 september. The main reason of Ganesh puja celebration in big manner was the south Indian community of town. In kharagpur there was good number of South Indian and mainly people from Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh after Maharstra was second big organiser of Ganpati puja and pandal. On the same way as there was large population of telgu people in Kharagpur so Ganeshpuja was celebrate in a big way in Kharagpur. Except kharagpur no other area in West Bengal ,Orissa, Assam, Jharkhand, Bihar or other east Indian state where ganesh puja was celebrate in this big manner.
