Book fair or boimela started from 2000 when I was in school.Every year the glory of this festival increases .At few years back only bengoli books were available in this fair but now English and hindi also available.This book fair started from 03..01.15 to 11.01.15 .

Kharagpurian always participate in every cultural and educational program of town so this occasion also get huge visitors from every part of town .People also from near about area like,medinipur,jhargram,jakpur come for this occasion.I also loved book and when I got time I visit book fair.

Here not only book but also different cultural program organised every days.Folk song ,debate,kavi samelan and different cultural events organised everyday. Kharagpur town-hall where this fair organised is easy to come and park your vehicle because there is lots of space .Mainly the crowed came in weekend.Other than book fair there are also food stall available for evening snacks .This year for inauguration and publicity a pad yatra organised from kharagpur college gate.

Kharagpur is also a spiritual town because here many temples ,churches and mosque.So, spiritual leader from different community visit this town time to time. Brajchakori devi ,pupil of jagatguru kripalu maharaj of Mathura or radhe radhe satsang also organised from 25 december to 5 january 2015.My father attained every day this satsang in durgamandir kharagpur.

This year new year started with rainy weather.All day cloudy weather and some amount of rain definitely destroy and trip or picnic decision of many people in town but Kharagpur has lots of variety so you can’t bored any time of year.

In other part of Bengal there are mainly chenna sweet are available but in kharagpur is only place where you can fine find bengali sweet as well as north indian dry sweets, same thing apply for food .In other parts of Bengal only bengoli snacks are available but in kharagpur kachori of every area has different taste  in golebaazar Bhandari chowk you find north indian kachori made from mug dal on the other hand inda kachori are used different ingredients.Gatebazar ,golebaazar and malancha every areas sambar tase is different but all are delicious.
