66 Republic day, when we celebrate for our republic. People feel
15 august as Independence Day and treated as more important but I feat 26
January as more important that 15 august. The reason behind this was 15 august
we celebrate due to freedom from British, which memories that once we were
under British control on the other hand this date gave proud when we became a
Republic and created our own constitution and our all forces remove the term
royal like: Royal Indian Army changed to Indian Army, Royal Air force changed
to Indian Air Force and Royal Indian navy changed into Indian Navy.
Kharagpur Town Police
So for me I treat this as more important for my country
compare to 15 August. Now we turn into our own town history. Kharagpur was
always a peaceful town even during freedom fighting struggle, There was not any
big revolutionary attack or activity took place over here. In our Hijali Asylum
some of our great freedom fighters were placed during independence.
But After independence Kharagpur became of the of main air force
base. Kalaikunda air base played a crucial role in safeguard of country and
also played crucial role in 1965 and 1971 war.
During school time I spent this day by watching parade in
television .It was really very interesting to watch or defense strength. You

In our town this festival celebrate in all school in town as
well as different local club and govt. institution and defense offices.
Most of the club decorate and prepare for this national
festive in last light .Whole day national anthem and patriotic song played in
loud speaker in different parts of town. Last but not the least whole day
patriotic film played in different television channel.
In this post I was giving some pictures of different school
of town and local clubs in kharagpur, which help you to know this town spirit.
From my childhood and schooling days nothing was changed in
this town. Our town competes any other town and city for celebration of
republic day. Main celebration tool place in stadium where DRM took guard of
owner from RPF, GRPF and other security service of town.
