Midnapore, a district town, played an important role in the freedom struggle. There are many sons had sacrificed there life’s for the sake of nation. As per the proverb, medinipore got the name based on the goddess name Medinimata(mother of world).
There are many places to visit in midnapore; I am giving a little brief info about those places. My blog kharagpurmylove is basically related with the kharagpur and near about area. As Midnapore is our district as well as neighbor of kharagpur.Jaganath temple at nutan bazaar area ,built by the descendant of ganga dynasty of Odisha.There are many old temples of eighteen century was hanuman temple of mirzabazar area,sitla temple of barabazar and kali temple of habibpur.Rukmani temple of nutanbazar was the oldest in midnapore ,built during 17th century.
